My social travails in NYC and beyond
Born in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Grew up on a farm outside of Statesboro, GA (about 45 miles northwest of Savannah). Graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens. Moved to Manhattan in March 1995 - currently living in East Village/Alphabet City. Am addicted to lip gloss. Love hot weather - even humidity! Prefer to be barefoot. Have an extensive collection of very tiny handbags. Really dislike cars and driving.
I don’t follow competitive eating or anything, but when you live in NYC it’s hard to not be aware of Nathan’s Famous hot dog eating contest, held on Coney Island every July 4th. As 30,000 people watched in the streets, our boy Joey broke a world record today & beat the 6-time winner from Japan. Yeah, Joey!
