Dec. 27 - Fun in the sun

I’ve been waking up pretty early (for me). Have breakfast and am on the beach by 10. The water is great; very refreshing, but not cold. However, the sun is quite intense, and I need to seek shade around noon. The owner of the beach club sees how fair-skinned I am, senses imminent disaster, and brings me an aloe plant to apply where I am starting to turn red and cuts open a coconut for me so I can drink the milk.

We meet the villa gang for dinner at Banana Garden. The waiters from our hotel invite us to a dance party at a club on the beach. But we’re pretty tired from the sun and surf. That, and the DJ was playing “OPP” when we walked by the club after dinner.
